Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is an actress and model. She made her film debut as a Bond model on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody began modelling after being invited by a professional photographer. This led to an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody tried to stay clear of glamorous and sexy roles, that was a rule she applied in her acting. When she was spotted by the director of casting in the upcoming James Bond movie, she was cast in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody was listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 promising actors of 1986. 38. Still only 18 when she appeared in the film, Doody was, and still is one of the smallest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying starring Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias when she appeared in the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version of The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part in Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the movie Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film.
