Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and found her passion to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed 2nd in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an official contract to Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world champion of 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 beating her former Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in each of her events.
